Thanks for visiting.

Allow me to introduce myself…

I’m a Sociologist with over 20 years of experience in social justice research, education, and evaluation. I have a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Toronto and a Master’s degree (MSt.) in Women’s Studies from Oxford University.

As a scholar and educator, I have published ten peer-reviewed research studies on citizenship and migration, gender-based violence, and social justice activism in scholarly journals like Citizenship Studies, Signs, Social Politics, and Studies in Social Justice. You can access my publications here.

As a consultant, I have published over 20 community-based research studies advancing knowledge of systemic barriers and gaps as well as promising practices being developed by non-governmental organizations in Canada. I have evaluated over 60 programs and services using trauma-informed and intersectional evaluation methods. As a grant-writer, I have helped bring in over $42M in government and private foundation funding. My editing services have supported publication of approximately 25 books and 60 articles in the social sciences and humanities.

What it’s Like to Work With Me

My clients and collaborators describe me as someone who listens deeply and acts with integrity. I value working-relationships that are generative rather than transactional, which prioritize care, well-being, and collaborative learning.

Let’s Work Together.
